I don’t understand why some people are under the impression sac is looking to dump Sabonis for nothing. His contract is big but he’s no Zach LaVine. This is an All-NBA center when healthy.
A trade idea between the Nets, Hornets, and Kings: • Nets Domantas Sabonis • Hornets Nic Claxton • Kings Terance Mann Josh Green 2 future second-round picks (via CHA) Sacramento would also duck under the tax, save money, and gain cap flexibility.
@maury32 Both players are on overinflated contracts. Doesn’t change the fact that Sabonis is objectively a FAR more impactful player than LaVine.
@SeanyDooWop I get the cap aspect, but there has to be some kind of 1st round compensation or some young player asset. If they were interested in a deal like this it probably would’ve been done already

Per a league source, Sacramento Kings general manager Scott Perry met with the family of Houston point guard Kingston Flemings this weekend in San Antonio. Flemings is expected to be amongst the guards potentially available for the Kings with the 7th pick in the NBA Draft.

One thing that didn’t get much comment yesterday off of my latest 2026 NBA Draft Big Board that I thought would spark more conversation: I have Morez Johnson Jr. as the best “big” in this class. Whether you see him as a C or PF, I just think he has the most defensive utility I want at that position while having a pathway to continue developing into a spot-up shooter given the touch indicators. I can switch him up and down the lineup, rebounds on both ends, sets good screens, communicates, can work in the handoff game, and is a real vertical presence around the basket. Just has to much to work with as one of the draft’s best athletes relative to others at his position.
