Wondering if folks have advice about getting monetized by @YouTubeCreators. The only public vids on my page are the 4 episodes of my original show, but I was rejected for "limited originality." I do have a bunch of news clips on private. Should I delete them before reapplying?
in case you're curious I learned that YT reviews both public & private vids when you apply for monetization, so I'm purging my YT page of everything but original pods before reapplying. BTW, if you want to check my show out, 4 episodes are already live! youtube.com/channel/UCpspd…
@atrupar when applying for YPP, it’s best to make sure to follow our monetization policies: goo.gle/3z3zFIm learn more here: goo.gle/3z4eTIu lmk if you have any other q’s!
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators YouTube is very skittish about copyright claims. So if you have copies of broadcast media on your account, they will be nervous (and by nervous, I mean implacable) about being OK with your channel. Delete anything, whether it be broadcast media or music, you don't own now.
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators Hey @reneritchie — any advice for Aaron here?
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators Maybe start a new channel for the original content?
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators Hey Brad, @BadBradRSR can you help him out?
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators Well that’s discouraging considering all the bile they have in there they pay out to.
@atrupar @YouTubeCreators I was demonetized merely for reposting myriad clips for the lulz, so the only advice I have is don't use YT unless you have a thing to market and strategically popularize.
