we’re relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark 🧵
when you subscribe you’ll get Edit Tweet, 1080p video uploads, reader mode, and a blue checkmark (after your account has been reviewed)
we’ll begin replacing that “official” label with a gold checkmark for businesses, and later in the week a grey checkmark for government and multilateral accounts
@tomcoates @Twitter @TwitterBlue You really don’t need to say when you don’t want something.
@Twitter @TwitterBlue Do we get the choice to have the features without the blue checkmark and keep our legacy ones? twitter.com/Twitter/status…
@Twitter @TwitterBlue Some questions that I hope will be answered somewhere: What if we already pay the original $8 through iOS? Is this fee being increased from $8 to $11? Or are these accounts grandfathered in at $8? If not, are we able to cancel through iOS and renew via the web app?
@africatechie @Twitter @TwitterBlue Android will be $8. iPhone is $11 due to extra charges imposed by Apple. Android is imposing no extra fees.
@MissMaga2016 @Twitter @TwitterBlue Yep. That’s the question.
