@TrueMartyParty Again - there is ambition already embodied in Fire II; it isn't about sending down 1st team bodies. There are multiple full internationals on the roster, under Tallandier they are one of the only teams in the MLSNP that seems to have a coherent tactical identity
@LogansSquares @sing_electric @TrueMartyParty At least the "Fire" were represented. This tournament has been important for the Club as more trophies have earned in this event than any other. Too bad the MLS did not appreciate the historical significance of the tournament.
@LogansSquares @TrueMartyParty Shokalook didn't have the best game but I understand the choice to give him the opportunity, and I'm not sure that say, just tossing Tom Barlow in there does much to change the result, considering he'd have had minimal time to practice with the team
@sing_electric @TrueMartyParty Feels like a striker would’ve been a good reinforcement since they dominated shots but clearly without enough experience to get past the keeper, & the crosses didn’t really have a target forward to hit as an aerial threat.
@TrueMartyParty Also – worth saying that "lack of ambition" doesn't seem fair when the org wanted 1st team to play and Fire II are one of the more ambitious Next Pro squads by any measure
