BREAKING: Trump lawyers find classified docs in Florida storage unit, also searched Bedminster, Trump Tower. Why is DOJ leaving these searches to Trump, when they don't trust him? Because DOJ searches would've violated the election moratorium policy. Now it's Game On again.
In other words, during last 90 days, DOJ wasn't going to do any searches, so it used the time as best it could. Now DOJ has probable cause to get warrant to search the Florida storage unit -- and perhaps other locations as well.
FTR, I still STRONGLY disagree with the DOJ election moratorium policy. It makes sense in the context of a garden-variety campaign finance or corruption case. It does NOT make sense when national security is at stake -- and when the target of the investigation is NOT in office!
Also also: by letting the Trump team run around "finding" and then failing to disclose all these documents, DOJ can sit back and watch Trump et al. rack up evidence of obstruction of justice. As long as they don't sit back and watch for TOO long. Hoping that phase is now over.
@TristanSnell LOL....A member of his legal team signed a sworn certification that Trump was not in possession of any more documents. Sounds like someone committed perjury!
@TristanSnell Trusting people who work for DOTUS Trump to diligently search & report is absurd. They are paid to NOT find anything. We already SAW this. They signed documents that said all docs were returned; then it was determined they somehow "missed" almost half. Bobb now has her own lawyer
@TristanSnell SIT BACK AND WAIT!!!!!!?????? FFS MAN! IT’S TIME!!!!!!
@TristanSnell The Trump Crime Family is imploding.
@TristanSnell They just want to look good to their #gqp that they are "cooperating". Yet, far from it. They'll still believe them over DOJ.
@TristanSnell I just left a discussion with a hard core conservative Republican who had a Top secret security clearence. I asked if he was worried about the stolen documents being stored in the basement of a beach club. Very, he said. It’s inconceivable.
@TristanSnell It really didn’t matter if DOJ felt bound by any rules or not - that’s how long it took for the full 11th circuit to fully overrule Judge Cannon. There. Until last week her order prevented doing much, if anything.
@TristanSnell This is what y’all look like with these tweets. Say what you want I’m not commenting further. Name calling has no effect on me either so go ahead show yourselves.
