There is a sense in which the sun does "orbit" the earth, in that the universe is centered on the earth, since that is the place where God's vice-regent dwells. But the idea that the Bible or science show us anything other than solar days in the 6+1 pattern of Genesis is silly.
@William_E_Wolfe The belief in a literal 6 day creation narrative is basically the same as early mankind believing that the sun orbits the earth. Many of us have a full, rich faith while still believing the science.
It seems reasonable to allow for a spectrum of views on divine simplicity, especially considering Rome permits such diversity (Aquinas vs. Scotus), how much more should Protestants have such a diversity and charity who’ve been set free from the control of Rome and her magisterium

As a confessional Baptist who is not compelled by Presbyterianism at all, if I had to choose between Doug Wilson's public witness, as seen here, or that of my own convention's public policy arm, it's a no-brainer. Wilson far better testifies to the gospel than the ERLC.
