@bornposting I thought Aragorn was the chosen one. Although it’s a moot point. A trope can’t be tired if it’s in the book that INVENTED THE GENRE.
@Gilgamesh001 @bornposting Aragorn isn't the chosen one. He's just the descendent of one. Anyone of his bloodline could have been King before him
@SennaAsad @Gilgamesh001 @bornposting I think the point of Aragorn is that you assume he is the chosen one. He's got all the hallmarks of a hero and main protag but in the end he's just one friends Frodo makes along the way that helps him finish the quest. Fellowship is the "chosen one" not any specific character
