Guaranteeing 7 paid sick days to rail workers would cost the rail industry a grand total of $321 million a year – less than 2% of its profits. Please don't tell me the rail industry can't afford it. Rail companies spent $25.5 billion on stock buybacks and dividends this year.
@SenSanders How many sick days and holidays do they get now? As many as federal workers?
@SenSanders We have socialism in the US - corporate socialism. It's when you are having a good day as a corporation, you keep all your money. When you are having a bad day, the government bails you out so you don't lose any money.
@SenSanders Bernie will singlehandedly bring back Conrail and I’m here for it.
@SenSanders I think it's time to say "screw it" and bring back Big Blue and go all in on nationalizing our railroads.
@SenSanders Fatigued Workers become injured workers - Injuries happen > frequently when workers are fatigued - Inattentiveness to Duty - Falls; Hard to walk on ballast, under normal conditions -
@SenSanders Spoken like a guy that’s never, ever had a real job in the work day world
@SenSanders Oops! They already AVERAGE over $120k/yr AND get 5 WEEKS paid leave.
@SenSanders All socialists are thieves NO exception to the rule.PERIOD!
@SenSanders How much did the rail companies lose to theft while California sat on their hands for 3 years. "It's only 2%" says the socialist trying to take money........again
