@HDNorman because people loved what DC was putting out and were excited. All the films were very successful, except for Justice League, that led to Aquaman. Then everything tuned into a cheap comedy.
Zack Snyder was a head of his time. If his movies came out today they would have been massive blockbusters. BvS already was, even with the cuts. Today these films would be HUGE. People want something different and engaging. This surface level mindless slop that is being churned out is stupid.

I watched Escape from New York today for the very first time. I enjoyed it but didn’t think it was a great film. It had a great story though. I am happy to see it is getting a remake. It has a ton of potential. Even if I had seen it in the 80’s it would not be on my list of great 80’s films. #EscapeFromNewYork
