@genti_boy_ks Serbia (including Kosovo) was a fully recognised sovereign nation. The extensive autonomy granted to Kosovo by Tito in the 1970s was reduced in the 1980s because of the high levels of intimidation and violence directed at Kosovo Serbs by Kosovo Albanians.

@genti_boy_ks The war in Kosovo was a civil war within a sovereign nation. The use of Chapter VII of the UN Charter was highly controversial because the Charter forbids unprovoked aggression against a sovereign UN state. Claims of genocide were also shown to be unfounded.

@genti_boy_ks Nato was a defensive alliance set up to protect Europe during the Cold War. It had no standing to intervene in the Balkans. The Nato bombing was not supported by a UN resolution. As the UN observers confirmed, there was no humanitarian crisis taking place in Kosovo.
@genti_boy_ks The ICJ accepted the ICTY's verdict without evaluation. Nato justified its bombing of Serbia with claims of a humanitarian disaster: these were categorically disproved by the UN observers in Kosovo. Nato was in breach of its own charter and all international law.
@genti_boy_ks Most violence in Kosovo from the 1970s onwards was directed against the Kosovo Serbs by the Kosovo Albanians, the dominant community. In Bosnia there were claims of massacres but no hard evidence was ever produced during the ICTY trials - a court that relied entirely on hearsay
@genti_boy_ks When the Kosovo war ended more than 70 UN observers who had been inside Kosovo during the months leading up to and throughout the Nato bombing confirmed that there had been no genocide in Kosovo at any stage.
