@RandPaul It's exhausting how much momentum is required in this country to undo overreach.

@RandPaul It's truly sad that people in Congress appear to be afraid to decide questions of war and peace and would rather defer to the Executive Branch. It's as if they miss the days of monarchy.

@RandPaul Based on what I learned in Schoolhouse Rock it seems there has been a shift in what the President is able to decide on many things aside from deciding when and where to go to war.

@RandPaul What are we up to now? $200 billion? Ain't there something in the Constitution about "advice and consent" or "separation of powers" or something? Or is there an exception for proxy wars?

@RandPaul Congress hasn’t declared war since WWII. It was decided long ago that Presidents would skip this little Constitutional requirement, Congress would just pony up the cash to do it, and all involved could claim reasonable deniability. I agree Senator Paul- make war a Constitutional…
