@FilmCafeCoOp We agree that the businesses are not ethical and it is not ethical that the housing crisis leaves a lot of people with no other option than to forfeit basic housing rights just to have a roof over their heads.

Obviously we’re aware of the dodgey contracts that these companies try to enforce and often get away with (and how likely technically not covered by the ban...) and they might think they’re well within their rights but now is not the time to leave these people without a home!

@AdHocGuardians You missed one: - Allowing developers to dodge paying the correct taxes etc and thus contributing to* pricing out locals and further gentrifying areas. *we do not blame all guardians for this as often guardians are forced into it due to lack of other affordable options.

I cant emphasise enough how much publicity this case needs. All tenants need to know this and so do landlords. Everyone knew Parker would get blown out if it got to the UT but never thought it would be a landlord who did it

#RentRepaymentOrder (#RRO) Applicants need to know about this ruling and include it as an authority in their submissions. Also recent RRO decisions can be re-made: appeal now if you have had deductions in a recent award. See also our blog: getrentback.org/blog/2020/06/1… #GetRentBack.
