So much of my energy as a child was spent convincing my mother not to sell our house. In a turbulent early life, it was my anchor. Even today, it anchors our family unit. Ppl who treat housing as this fungible commodity instead of as a place ppl make their lives are so weird.

@NickJBrumfield It's so weird & incredibly common (at least among the folks I talk to). Anytime the house comes up in conversation, they stop talking about it like a place to live and more like a financial commodity. Never mind comments at city council meetings.... Why can't a home be a home?
