.@RepMattGaetz tells @ABonTV that he believes former President Donald Trump will come out “stronger” after a potential indictment, but that it will also be a “sad day for the country and one that America will pay for for a long time.” #MorninginAmerica: trib.al/svO7aJC
While former President Donald Trump faces a potential indictment, @RepMattGaetz says Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis “should be standing in the breach to stop any sort of extradition of President Trump from the state of Florida.” Watch #MorninginAmerica: trib.al/EzakXCk
Exactly what I said. Trump does not have to do this but he will if it can help exposure the swamp. The sheriff of Palm Beach County could tell NY & the feds to pound sand. DeSantis could also block the loonie actions. The truth is that there is more at play here than meets the eye. First, running through this process puts it away forever thanks to the double jeopardy provision in the 5th Amendment. Additionally, the info that Trump and Congress have on Biden and a lot of other people is no small mountain. Remember the raid on Mar-A-Lago? Those documents will be key. The left will gain zero momentum from these actions. The right however will expose a ton of corruption.
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz Does he have the authority to even do that?
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz I do sincerely hope Mr. Gaetz isn't suggesting DeSantis violate Florida and Federal law and face Impeachment or worse on this. Because aside from making sure the paperwork is filled out correctly, that's about all DeSantis can do.
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz Well, Matt isn't governor, so there's that.
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz It will cost him a potential presidency.
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz If he doesn’t, he will lose my vote for POTUS
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz So DeSantis is supposed to protect Trump somehow while Trump bashes and calls him names. Yeah right.
@NewsNation @RepMattGaetz That’s crazy if they do then they have every right And should take him
