The second most populace demographic of Jewish victimization would be in the Soviet Union itself with ~1.34 million Jewish deaths. Of this figure, the overwhelming majority (+1M) were Ukrainian Jews.
Propagandized Russian history has long attempted to erase it's ugly initial collaboration with Nazi Germany that served to secure the very killing fields of the Holocaust as well as an impetus for a war that would see the death of up to 60 million human beings.
When joint Soviet and Nazi imperialistic vision collided, collusion ceased and the USSR rebranded itself as a noble anti-nazi hero. All the while Sov/Bolsheviks had injected heavy doses of anti-religious policy of their own into society, punishable by gulag, torture, and death.
The cruel Soviet policies of the USSR resulted in a death toll of varying estimates between 20-60.2 M. The term "Nazi" arose as a useful propagandizing tool and rallying cry effective in conjuring hatred against all those perceived as a threat to it's singularity of rule.
Putin and the RF employ this very same time-honored propaganda measure in it's imperialistic invasion and genocide against Ukraine. Beggering belief, a Jewish Zelenskyy, descendant of Jewish Holocaust victims himself, is spuriously dubbed the leader of a "Nazi regime."
The "Athiestic Utopia" of the USSR was a brutal, deadly, failure. Ex Soviet KGB agent Putin as head of state together with ex KGB Kirill as head of the Russian church, now comprise a mere rebranding of an enduring Russian empire of brutality and death. youtu.be/EDJVeO_Mw0g
Had the world had the foresight and resolve to challenge the Soviet-Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939 and deny evil of it's killing fields, millions of innocent lives may have been saved. Supporting Ukraine now is a similar choice for our generation. And it's liberty or death.
And lastly, they are counting on you to be to stupid to realize the whole ruse, or simply too self-involved or immoral to care.
@Sabrefire45 This is a terrific, important thread—thank for sharing! Most countries (rightly) shun nazi collaborators—not Putin’s ruZZIa though, where even studying, let alone publicizing, Stalin’s extensive collaboration with the Nazis has been criminalized. Thank you for posting
@MikeLogan_5 Hey, thanks for reading and you're spot on, Mike!
@Sabrefire45 Thanks Michayahu, such a great thread (and btw I thought I’d liked every tweet in the thread, but now they’re not showing that for some reason). Cheers!
