Every time you wanna ding the SEC they make it hard. The right side of the bracket held with #3 SEC, #6 SEC, #7 SEC, with the exception being an SEC also-ran ripping right through the #2 and #15 seeds on their home fields.

I wouldn’t get worked up about Sorsby being eligible. The charade was up when North Carolina’s argument was basically “Look, we ceased to be an institute of higher learning for everybody, not just men’s basketball players, so it’s out of your purview.”

@PatrickMay595 @MattZemek @TalkinACCSports Yep, ACC got only one host, a 25-10 Notre Dame squad. The committee didn’t understand the 36-game schedule or credit it, but the ACC didn’t realize either how that would depress their teams’ RPI + pull everyone towards .500. Also eliminated 12 non-conference games that year. Dumb

@MattZemek @TalkinACCSports But you couldn’t script it any worse than it has played out. Now 3-19 against the SEC in those 20 years worth of Regionals - and each of the 3 (‘10 Alabama twice, ‘13 Vanderbilt, and ‘26 Oklahoma twice) have avenged each of those losses to dogpile in a Regional Championship.

Sometimes it’s the program, not the team. Georgia has recent Super Regional experience and it showed, expertly navigating close games with Liberty last week and Mississippi State. I’m not sure you’ll ever see a SEC team go 6-0 against a powerhouse like Mississippi Stare again.

I’m not a knowledgeable hockey guy, but the Hurricanes never lose in overtime and Vegas will have blown a 4-0 game after blowing a 2-0 game, so the series is pretty much over if CAR wins, right? Or am I just scarred from blown leads always = losses and never rescue jobs.

The benefits of being negative is that I have Georgia-North Carolina in the CWS Finals in my bracket, and that is highly possible. Before anyone asks, I picked GT to win its Regional for the first time since the 2010 Alabama, Elon, Mercer Regional.

I made a list of every team who has won one of the 320 NCAA Baseball Regionals played over the last 20 seasons. I’ll compile it into list form and share it. Seeing some of the names on there - and some of the names on there 7, 8, 9, 10, even 12 times - is super depressing.

@kyle321741 @TuckerBlanc @TalkinACCSports If right now you promised me an 0-1 start in Supers and an early deficit in Game 2 next year, I’d sign up for that in a second. Something has to break this before the program can move forward. It’s stunning that this wasn’t the breakthrough after leading 8-2 then 7-3 a day later.
