First CBO score of the new Congress is here. Says that the GOP IRS funding bill would reduce spending by $71.5B and reduce revenue by $185.8B. Net deficit increase of $114B. cbo.gov/system/files/2…

@RichardRubinDC The WH was expecting to increase revenue w the 87,000 IRS hires going after low/middle income Americans. GOP House is defunding those agents. Hence, there is no new revenue. So, how can it add to the deficit if revenue was never received to start? It was projected revenue.

@monakiki2525 @RichardRubinDC Wrong. Many of the additional agents were to rebuild IRS customer service, update antiquated systems, and gradually replace agents leaving and retiring over the next ten years.

@jb_montgomery @RichardRubinDC That's the spin being told, and you it hook, line and sinker.

@monakiki2525 @jb_montgomery @RichardRubinDC Yet you seem to think that you didn’t fall for the GOP line hook line and sinker. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@TeachOrSwim @jb_montgomery @RichardRubinDC Well, so far, everything I've believed in, they've been right. Democrats have been wrong.

@monakiki2525 @TeachOrSwim @jb_montgomery @RichardRubinDC Dude you are DELUSIONAL.. half the funding does go to increased enforcement, but enforcement of “corporations & high-net-worth individuals” to return audits of those groups back to historical norms (those making more then $5 million are audited today at 2%.. it was 16% pre-2010)
