"There will be a reduced number of members of the royal family present in order to avoid the health risks associated with large crowds." Wait. What? There are health risks associated with large crowds? theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/m…
If I was in a profession where my cognition was key to my continued employment, I’d wear a respirator everywhere. And I am, so I do.

When people argue 'following the science' is getting infected to attain 'hybrid immunity' what they don't tell you is the cognitive impairment you are trading for a fleeting antibody response.

So, tomorrow is World Tuberculosis Day. I wanted to highlight the Texas Center for Infectious Diseases, which has used elastomeric masks like the North 7700 with P100 filters since *1996* and have not had one - not one - staff member test + for TB. kens5.com/article/news/h…
@kerrymaree4034 @1goodtern They don't really care about the economy, not in terms of how it affects everyday people... they care about their investments.
This is where we are at my friends. An MD cancer researcher wrote these words. Sadly many of his colleagues share this sentiment. As a healthcare professional I see it every day. And as a patient with long covid who's fighting cancer I realize more than ever we're on our own.
Health "care" needs to be called something else. Preventive care now requires risking your health to check on it, risking chronic illness or death to access care, and many HCWs have some degree of Covid brain injury affecting patient care. What shall we call it? #healthcare
@catladyactivist new normal
Revisiting the long-term health effects of Covid vs flu 3 key points 1. Covid is worse than flu 2. Covid is more multisystemic; flu is more respiratory 3. Both covid and flu cause more health loss in the long-term than what is evident around the time of acute infection… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Happy BSL-2 day, everyone! Newest numbers are in! Influenza killed three thousand (3K) people in the USA in January of 2024 COVID killed over ten thousand (10K) in the same month! Now they're the same BSL level and everything is going to be fucking great!
For those questioning why there was such a visceral reaction to the NPR piece: Getting abandoned by the government, CDC, healthcare system & society in general is sh*tty enough, but trying to justify your life partner putting your health & life in danger for brunch went too far.
True leadership by Austrian physicians “COVID-19 is not a cold. It is not influenza. It is a systemic, vascular-damaging disease that only spreads via the respiratory route, via aerosols. COVID is neither over, nor is it a harmless infection without consequences.” Read🧵below

To be fair, it's a compelling argument.
“The growing body of research now confirms…CoV-19 should be considered a virus w/ a significant impact on the brain. The implications are far-reaching, from individuals experiencing cognitive struggles to the potential impact on populations &…economy.” theconversation.com/mounting-resea…
😔 If you ever hear about decreasing numbers of people being treated for Long Covid, consider for a moment that there are no treatments for Long Covid.

@NightShiftMD Sadly, that means nothing. Long COVID can emerge months later as the virus makes it way through your body. Please continue resting when you feel you need it. And please reach out if you would like more information.
21 years ago today, in an old courthouse in Astoria, Oregon, I married this amazing woman. I was the man who was "never going to get married," but then, in my late 40s, I met Angela, and everything changed for me. For once in my life, I got lucky: I won the lottery of love.
Crazy to see how many think Longcovid is fake or related to vax. LC (& similar illnesses caused by other infections) was documented way before vax. 100’s of studies show Covid persistence — it is not clearing in a % of people. Vax injury real, too. Both can be true.
I’m not playing along with the charade. It’s not ok.
@stkirsch Again, you’re telling half the story. It’s embarrassing for someone who thinks they’re as smart as you. Respirators like N95s work incredibly well and are harmless. If you cared abt PH, you’d educate your followers instead of gaslighting them.
@schreiber1313 I left it in pieces over my Substack, not intended, just can't outright prove it. Basically, I firmly believe (insist) the virus and the Spike itself can get inside biofilms and create reservoirs.
@MonicaGandhi9 @Bob_Wachter @MorningEdition @NPR Also, for the love of god, if you want people to make their own decision, tell them about the risk first — otherwise it’s deliberate misinformation. Absolutely no other way to look at it.

@MonicaGandhi9 @Bob_Wachter @MorningEdition @NPR Vaccines only approach ignores the most common adverse outcome from infection: #LongCovid — vaccines reduce a bit, but only to levels which still remain a categorical public health emergency. You can’t have a sound position on mitigation policy without accounting for this.
Q: What do you do if you can’t keep up with demand for blood draws in your #LongCovid trial? A: Get phlebotomy certified and KEEP MOVING 🧛♂️🩸💪🏼 LFG* *(let’s not FG just yet…give us newly trained a small amount of time to practice heavily on our poor coworkers 😂)
Our lives are spent separated from loved ones serving the rich. Work/school days leave little room for meaningful interactions or entertainment. Homework, dinner, showers - what time is left? People cling to their bars & restaurants because that's all this rat race left us with.
I've been thinking... "Normal" wasn't normal to begin with. Giving your best hours, days, years to school & work from 5-70 isn't normal. A few days off a year to really enjoy life isn't normal. No wonder folks are willing to risk death for a scrap of fun. #COVID #capitalism
@maosbot Do you think that could possibly be because it's used against you by employers, while simultaneously being dismissed by doctors?
The more I learn abt this virus, the more my commitment to avoiding it is reinforced. The widespread damage it can do is chilling, in even “mild” or asymptomatic cases. Doing nothing to stop it is criminal. Time will show that those of us sounding the alarm were right.
@Amonhohohotep @JacquelynYEtq Not a fan of colloidal silver. Kills your microbiome

@mattyglesias Um, one can find dubious assertions daily from anchors at FOX, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, CNBC and Bloomberg. Who you kidding?
