Saw this on LinkedIn from an interview with manager Audrey Knox. I have the comedies, feature and Tv, finished, my action comedy, finished, or my sci fi comedy that’s just getting started. Do you have any of these?

Couldn’t be more thrilled to help bring this amazing pitch by the brilliant client/storyteller Brenda Hsueh to market and have it pre-empt in a very big way by the wonderful team at Sony/Tristar! Excited to see Brenda, Yvonne and Temple Hill bring this
Don't look now but I think the spec market is back!
@BrandonProsek for TV shows, I spend time on characters first & foremost, then pitch a detailed pilot episode, summarize each episode in season one, broadly summarize season 2, 3, & beyond. Leave them w/ big questions: How is X going to get out of X situation? Will X and X end up together? etc.
@AshLazerWrites Pitch: Intro idea, tone, comps, why me, why now, tell the story!
Dos: Hydrate, talk s l o w l y, be enthusiastic.
Don't: Forget eye contact, pitch too long or short (20-25 min is a good barometer), be closed off to feedback (collaboration and "yes, and" are your friends!)

Nobody cares how old you are if you write a great script. I broke in young but I didn't hit my stride until my late-40s. It's a combination of gaining more life experience to write about and if you write every day for that long, you keep getting better at it.

Writers, listen up! At the premiere last night I met AMC president Dan McDermott and asked him how he makes prpgramming decisions in his brand strategy.
He said, “We look for memorable characters. Characters that belong on the poster for the show. Characters people remember.”… x.com/i/web/status/1…
Getting your script to producers w/o personal connections and/or reps.
1) List 10 movies similar to your script
2) Research those films & list Associate Producers (more open to a cold query)
3) Find contact info on IMBDpro
4) Send concise, customized, personal emails
5) Wait
🧵Answered a friend's indie production question earlier today and I cannot stress enough that you *need* to learn how to budget a script if you are a screenwriter. Why???

It's not real until it's in Deadline, right?
I am honored to be part of The Happy Place's announcement, and I can't wait for you all to meet the Ladies of the House.
When Fox passed on Fist Fight I still felt super positive. Wasn’t right for Fox right then but I could tell from pitching we had something. My manager afterwards was negative. Where can it even go…Do you want more passes… I sold it to New Line. It got made. Managers are idiots.
