MAGA RINO's blew it, because they do not want to negotiate. Trump told them to intentionally default, knowing it would destroy America's economy and it's global standing. Someone who wants to negotiate does not run around on social media attacking and maligning those that they wish to honestly discuss an issue with. I have heard it too many times. You do not negotiate or discuss things by placing a gun to someone's head.
@Jim_Jordan Americans: "Republicans throw temper tantrum and threaten to drive America off a cliff if they don't get their way"
@Jim_Jordan House Adjourned for a long weekend
Nice try, GYM! This is all on the Republicans, and here is why: You've handed out over $1.7 trillion in tax cuts to the extremely wealthy. We'd rather see our tax dollars helping our fellow citizens in need and children who require assistance, not fueling the luxurious lifestyles of the super-rich. That's pretty straightforward, right? Now, let's move on to the GOP bill. This bill, which proposes cutting the remainder of discretionary spending by 33% in 2024, would hit vulnerable Americans hard. The planned cuts would negatively impact millions of people, leading to a loss of health, housing, and opportunities for the most vulnerable. The GOP's 2024 budget plans for $1.47 trillion in discretionary spending. But over $885 billion of that is earmarked for defense and veterans’ health programs. That means the budgets of other federal departments and agencies could be slashed by 51%, leading to the destruction of many public services. This reckless GOP proposal would hurt regular folks in many ways. For instance, it eliminates extra funding for the IRS which is used to make sure the richest Americans pay their fair share of taxes. This extra scrutiny isn't aimed at families making less than $400,000 a year, but rather at complex financial strategies used by the wealthy to shield their wealth. Moreover, the GOP bill intends to shave off $131 billion from current discretionary spending to cap next year's budget at $1.47 trillion. For the rest of the decade, spending caps would only permit a meager 1% annual increase. GYM, you might think we're easy to fool, but we're paying attention. And we'll remember all of this when we head to the polls in 2024.
@Jim_Jordan AMERICANS: Biden is like a child in a sand box…someone took his bankroll and he’s not gonna play anymore! Leave our tax dollars alone!
@Jim_Jordan Instead of debating the recurring debt limit number, let’s deem it truly imaginary i^2 = -1
@Jim_Jordan Republicans had no trouble increasing the debt by seven under Trump. Jimmy needs to be tested for memory loss.
@Jim_Jordan I'm wondering what your sentence will be as a Congressman who participated in the same conspiracy? nbcnews.com/politics/justi…
