Travis Swaggerty/Canaan Smith-Njigba OF competition over the past week: Swaggerty 5 GP ... 1 start Smith-Njigba 5 GP ... 4 starts Aren't they competing for the same thing? And nothing against Canaan. He's been terrific. But sure not giving Swaggerty much of a chance.
@JMackeyPG Bae should make the team over both. Not even close
@JMackeyPG What about AB's during spring? Are those numbers more in line? Being spring ball, a starter and the guy coming off the bench may both get 2 AB's in the game.
@JMackeyPG They probably intend to send Swaggerty down to manipulate service time.
@JMackeyPG their not. they’re defending Jacks Ks as well by saying some guys are hitting well against guys who will play minor league ball this year. Swag isn’t getting much of a look. handwriting may be in wall
@JMackeyPG I didn’t have the time to look this stat up but I had a feeling that was the case. Such a shame they’re screwing Swaggerty over. If he doesn’t get the opening day roster, his pirates career is done.
@JMackeyPG We like to make sure we select the wrong player to go north
@JMackeyPG Swaggerty was drafted by NH, he is not going to get the same chance as someone BC traded for. You write for the Pirates, don't you know how this crap goes by now?
@JMackeyPG Maybe they know what they have with Swaggerty and want to take a closer look at CSN?
@JMackeyPG That was one of my complaints with Swaggerty last year, felt like they never gave him a real chance in the majors
@JMackeyPG T Swags has never gotten a real chance like say jack suwinski has. And I know why, t swags is not a GMBC guy, suwinski is a GMBC trade. Hence more of a chance.
