On their own channel @wearewatcher they don’t ditch their personalities and chemistry, if anything they’re given more freedom to be expressive. My personal favourite series from this channel is the Too Many Spirits episodes.

Everyone knows that the ex-navy seal who's on a revenge vendetta after the death of his daughter/wife/son/etc. is going to kill everyone in the end. With Green Room, anyone could’ve died at any moment. It’s these movies that incorporate what a thriller should be all about.

With this and Blue Ruin I’ve noticed @saulnier_jeremy distances from the classic protagonist turns ex-Marine out of nowhere trope. Instead his heroes act purely on instinct, just as average people would in adverse circumstances. It’s a refreshing approach to thrillers.
