In the last 30 days, more than 1,000 Division 1 players (this includes walk-ons) have hit the transfer portal. The official count since March 1 is 1,049 with 10 of those having officially withdrawn.
@GoodmanHoops Bloody Thursday at VCU their whole team transferring
@GoodmanHoops Stop the madness. All transfers must sit out 1 year. Period end of story .Free agency ruining the greatest sport there is .
@GoodmanHoops So you say the new Penn State coach has a chance to build a good team for 2023-24 quickly...hope so, since many young kids are leaving...think he can get any to get out of the portal and back?
@GoodmanHoops Isn't that about 1/4 of the D1 scholarship players?
@GoodmanHoops That is basically 80 D1 teams at 13 players per team .
@GoodmanHoops How many will find a new place? How many will not? How many will go back? Overall how many will truly benefit their situation: PT, NIL, coaching? You get ONE bite at the apple right?
@GoodmanHoops @mukala_K Hurting recruiting as you have some Coaches waiting to see what’s in the portal instead of making offers to kids out of high school.
@GoodmanHoops Seeing as underclassmen couldn't enter until March 12, it's not a surprise a bunch entered in a short amount of time.
