Alabama makes it a crime to panhandle, loiter on roads as homeless advocates cry foul fxn.ws/3IOY5un

@FoxNews Then homeless advocates can give them homes.

@FoxNews The Supreme Court ruled panhandling is protected under the First Amendment in 2015 mtsu.edu/first-amendmen….

@FoxNews Wouldn't it be cheaper to help them get on their feet rather than send the to jail?

@FoxNews Well.. I am not sure on roads.. I believe if no sidewalk is provided the public roadway becomes essentially the sidewalk considered like the sidewalk.. I know this from my experiences with in a Wheelchair.. Our town doesn't have ADA compliant Wheelchair ramps and sidewalks.

@FoxNews In a cashless society will Panhandlers have a card reader?

@FoxNews Might have to fill out applications now or take advantage of programs in that state (if available).

@FoxNews That's horrible, now they'll all come to Portland. Give us a break:

@FoxNews This is a good law. Every red light you see people panhandling. Coming up to everyone's car. It's awful.
