The Brain and #LongCovid I reviewed and contextualized 2 new important German studies and their findings of persistent neuro-inflammation even after mild Covid. erictopol.substack.com/p/the-brain-an…
The #SARSCoV2 spike protein in the skull bone marrow, a niche reservoir for brain inflammation
Here the spike protein is seen in the brain parenchyma
@EricTopol What about the spike protein from the vaccine?
@EricTopol So in watching the video appears the spike PRO violates meninges via marrow…quick question, is it known for certain whether or not Paxlovid crosses the BBB? Are new therapies targeting this region? See section 3.3.2 : ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
@EricTopol Antivaxxers always claim that the mRNA vaccines lead to spike protein residues in the brain. Reading the cited studies about effects of mild infections this doesnt seem totally illogical (although antivaxxers usually are). What could be a good, scientifically based answer?
@EricTopol @polybioRF Skull and vertebral bone marrow are myeloid cell reservoirs for the meninges and CNS parenchyma pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34083447/ I thought this might interest you. This is important in neuroinflammation. Does SARS-CoV-2 infection of skull bone marrow adversely affect this?
@EricTopol Is it possible that the spike protein is from the mRNA vaccine and not the virus? How can you know is from one or the other?
