Victoria Alonso was fired from Marvel Studios after she continued to work on & promote ‘ARGENTINA, 1985’ after she was told not to. This violates Disney’s standards of business conduct that states employees do not work for competing studios. (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-n…)
@DiscussingFilm That's not why she was fired. They shitcanned her because Phase Snore was a disaster, Ant-Man 3 tanked, and the VFX work was consistently awful in recent years.
@DiscussingFilm Dont work with competing companies? What do they think people who watch marvel.. only strictly watch marvel movies? Thats all im programmed to do is watch dosney. We watch everything. It's how movies work.
@DiscussingFilm Argentina 1985 was not inclusive enough.
@DiscussingFilm Quite obvious you shouldn't be working with competitors lol, imagine being in apple with a high ranking position just to go work for samsung at the same time
@DiscussingFilm 17 years and countless hit films, but let's dump her. Bad optics.
@DiscussingFilm From my personal experience, everyone in the industry knows that and signs the non-compete as part of the NDA/employment contract. She rolled the dice and got snake eyes. What I'm surprised about is how long it took if they had to warn her multiple times.
@DiscussingFilm so that’s why she was fired and not for the way employees were treated 🧐
@DiscussingFilm So let me get this straight You are telling me she was fired for working on another movie & not for any VFX reasons? Yea the MCU & Feige doesn’t care about their VFX employees
