What is happening to youth mental health? - 6 in 10 teen girls say they're persistently sad or hopeless - share of girls who say they've contemplated suicide increased 50% in the last decade - 25% of LGBQ teens say they've attempted suicide New piece: theatlantic.com/newsletters/ar…
First, the numbers on teen mental health. We're witnessing a steady, decade-long increase in youth distress, which the pandemic clearly exacerbated.
@DKThomp @TheAtlantic Just have to look at the schools and the educators to see why. Trans agenda is cancelling these girls.
@DKThomp Really not mysterious that young girls would feel stress and anxiety - they live in a fake unrealistic world that they feel they can’t compete in - take a close look at women - everything is fake and false - it’s bound to affect mental health
@DKThomp @TheAtlantic Next time you need a quote by a teen, let me know, I run a mental health non profit for teens
@DKThomp @TheAtlantic the media can’t stop pushing the narrative and talking about LGBTQ when it’s only less than 7% of the pop. Two, educators and govt kept our kids out of schools during the pandemic and kids haven’t and won’t recover from that for years. Do you really have to ask that question?
@DKThomp Love your work … just an fyi my book was released last year (which you are quoted and cited in) that centered on the “Hollowing Out” of my students and why it’s happening … Hollowed Out: A Warning about America's Next Generation a.co/d/4Ekgw3g
