Brandin Cook and Stephon Gilmore’s skillsets complement the stars on the Cowboys roster harmoniously. The trades have turned weaknesses into strengths and could finally allow them to translate their drafting success into post-season success. theathletic.com/4347747/2023/0…

more and more people you run into on the street are talking about the tight-window environment

'what do you think about dak,' you ask the 54-year-old man at the end of the bar. he scrunches his nose 'he seemed to quite capably navigate a tight-window environment, which resulted in lots of conversions, but also more picks,' he says, stumbling over his words

the story of the season, which everyone is talking about at your neighborhood yard sale, is how dak implausibly managed the league's 4th highest conversion rate on 3rd downs despite being held to the league's 5th-lowest completion rate and highest INT% in those same situations

It’s important to point out, Prescott has consistently been in the top tier in having the lowest failed completion rate and is essentially the anti-dink&dunk QB. footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/…

one of the top subjects of dallas-area small talk since 2019

@CowboysStats I know I’m late, but the third down data might eventually be problematic. Best illustrated by an example, you’re on the 50, it’s 3 & 10. You get 9.5. That’s a failed completion, but is it? Because you’re going for it now on 4th down. Hopefully that makes sense (ltd word count).

@RobAlexTheGreat Yeah the FO definition of success is outdated imo. EPA success rate works better from this standpoint
