The recent serotonin debate seems to me to be largely split along these lines: researchers with financial ties to pharma verses researchers with no financial ties to pharma.
It’s amazing that British psychiatry now seems to be saying that the serotonin hypothesis of depression is back on the cards, even though it said after the Moncrieff paper that it had been rejected long ago/was never taken seriously. Confused? Welcome.

Several psychiatrists here on twitter attacking our serotonin review seem pretty unhappy and upset. Do they all have a perturbed serotonin system? Well, then antidepressant use will surely help them to calm down. Problem solved 😜😅

The recent serotonin debate seems to me to be largely split along these lines: researchers with financial ties to pharma verses researchers with no financial ties to pharma.
