AI may well represent the most consequential technology advance of our lifetime. We are committed to advancing it with a profound sense of responsibility, building on work we’ve been doing for more than six years. blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/…

@BradSmi Microsoft is consistently on message these days as the adult in the room re: tech innovation. Responsibility is rarely a word heard in other AI pitches.

@BradSmi Agreed! The potential impact of AI is immense, both in terms of benefits and risks. It's great to see companies taking a responsible approach to their development and implementation. Let's continue to work together to ensure AI is used for the betterment of society.

@BradSmi You can be the fastest or the more prudent. Very hard to be both.

@BradSmi @satyanadella If that’s the case, I don’t know how you ‘shipped’ the public beta of Bing Chat as is. I actually love that wonderbot & just want a safe minimum of guardrails, but I can’t help feeling like more company-wide or even F&F beta would’ve caught a lot of these big problem cases.

@BradSmi I'm happy to see Microsoft encourage the debate on responsible AI, Brad. As technological innovation accelerates, we should all remember that even the best of intentions can result in unforeseen and often adverse outcomes
