There is so much misinformation being pushed about immigration here on X from people saying "We Stand with Texas and their National Guard". Before you chime in with what you think "Biden should do" perhaps you should understand the actual legal process that The Refugee Act of 1980 says must take place: Once any immigrant steps foot in the US and claims that they are seeking asylum because their life is in danger (Regardless of if there is razor wire in front of them or not) the following process MUST take place (pictured below). There is not a way around it unless the laws are rewritten, not by Joe Biden, but by Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Please read and understand the process before saying "We must push these people back over the border or immediately deport them. That view just shows your ignorance to our laws. So now, let's get back to Texas. The razor wire was installed in US territory. That means that when immigrants come over, they are already on US soil and the Razor wire merely prevents Homeland Security from apprehending them on US soil. These immigrants still have to go through the exact same process as anyone else who is apprehended on US soil. If you truly want to stop these people you need to stop them in Mexico before they set foot on US land, or rewrite the Refugee Act of 1980, which would then push actually asylum seekers to the side. I know I will still get a bunch of people replying here suggesting that Biden should forced the border patrol agents to do things that are illegal, but I will only assume that you didn't read the flow chart above, which is based off of the Refugee Act of 1980.
