Six children have died with an invasive condition caused by Strep A - including five under 10-year-olds in England since September and a child in Wales bbc.in/3ul9hHr

@BBCBreaking Someone tell me what’s the deal with kids getting infected with this disease?

@BBCBreaking How man of them had been given the Vax? Curious

@BBCBreaking It’s now time to finish up schools for the Christmas break and get on top of this virus and slow the spread!

@BBCBreaking Are you not reporting on what the ‘invasive’ condition is?!

@BBCBreaking @chrischirp how bad is this going to be? 😞😞😞

@BBCBreaking Why🤷🏻‍♂️ Why so many in such a short space of time, why suddenly from a rare form of Strep A, why did no one notice these children were so ill, why now they’ve been in school for weeks🤷🏻‍♂️ We need answers to why🥺

@BBCBreaking Very scary. I think kids are getting sicker this year after 2 years of home school and masks. It’s bad in the US too.

@BBCBreaking #StrepA can be very nasty. It can also have various sequelae (rheumatic fever for example). If your child develops neuropsychiatric symptoms following #StrepA think #PANDAS. Very Important to recognise and treat early.

@BBCBreaking I am confused. Every refresh and the number changes. Not sure which number to believe. Not the first time 'news' got numbers wrong.
