"Racism has no place in our society," says Prince William's spokesperson, saying remarks made by the prince's godmother were unacceptable bbc.in/3ip8pPB
@BBCBreaking An 83 year old woman just wanted to know her ethnicity. That’s literally it
@BBCBreaking Ngozi Fulani didn't need to put the initials on her tweet, she knew full well that the elderly woman in question would be discovered & hounded. That's bullying. An elderly lady made a badly worded enquiry and was met with an aggressive stance. She could have had a conversation!
@BBCBreaking Moving someone's hair aside to see their name badge is of course unacceptable. It is bad manners. But asking someone where they are from is not racism. This royal aid was just curious. I have been asked many times where I am from. I did not perceive it as racist.
@BBCBreaking I don’t consider it racist, whilst working abroad in the past I was often asked where I was from, it can be a conversation opener, we shall be afraid to speak to anyone next in case we cause offence 🤦♀️🤦♀️
@BBCBreaking The more I read about @Sistah_Space the more I think this lady went to the place looking for a fight!
@BBCBreaking She could have said I was born here, my family heritage is xxxx She had a chip on her shoulder. Once again someone looking for a fight
@BBCBreaking This is what happens when they let one of those medieval racist lizards out of its tank to mingle with ordinary people in the 21st century.
@BBCBreaking How about, "I was born in London but my parents immigrated from the Caribbean"? How hard is that?
@BBCBreaking British citizen would not have been my first guess.
