France has the fourth largest gold reserves of 2,436 tons, without a single gold mine in France. Mali which was occupied by France does not have any gold reserves in its banks, although it has 860 gold mines and produces 50 tons per year! How did France get all that gold?
@juliusbols @Africa_Archives I somehow doubt its Mali who own/run those mines. But sure, some corrupt officials might get their "fair" share.
@Africa_Archives France maintains a tight stranglehold in Francophone Africa, both to serve its interests and maintain a last bastion of imperial prestige. pambazuka.org/governance/fra…
@Africa_Archives The same way I got my gold at home, buying it.
@Africa_Archives @TecleabB They stealed it from Africa
@megadon98345626 @Africa_Archives There is no such thing as a pact for the continuation of colonization. Il you are refering to the Franc CFA system, it is not a “pact for the continuation of colonization” it is quite simply a monetary agreement.
@megadon98345626 @Africa_Archives In fact, several ex-french colonies have actually left the Franc CFA system in the past, only to rejoin it later when realizing that it did provide some obvious economic benefits. And to be completely clear any country can choose to leave or join the Franc CFA at will
@megadon98345626 @Africa_Archives They sending it to their own pockets mate
