Frost: If Republican lawmakers cared so much about what's happening in our schools, they would focus on feeding kids so we can ensure everyone learns on a full stomach. If they cared what's happening in schools, what about the kids that are gunned down in their classrooms
@Acyn First, it is not the schools responsibility to feed a child it is the parents job to ensure the welfare of their children. Second gun violence happens because we fail to teach others to value life.
@Acyn The Federal Department of Education tied school lunch funding to acceptance of Biden’s PROPOSED new Title IX definitions of gender, which put boys in girls' bathrooms/locker rooms. Factor THAT into "R vs D."
@Acyn Maybe mommy and daddy should worry about their kids and what they're eating, instead of passing that responsibility onto schools as well
@Acyn Rep Frost is quickly becoming one of my favorite members of Congress.
@Acyn @smartdissent These children just went through a pandemic, where many families lost jobs, income, housing and educational opportunities. Add to that they still worry about gun violence as we practice shooter drills. For heaven’s sake let’s not add food insecurity to the lot!
@Acyn If you cared about feeding kids, you wouldn’t tax $100 billion away from working Americans to send to Ukraine with zero accountability
@Acyn What about kids who can’t/won’t read? What about truant kids? What about kids with dysfunctional/neglectful parents? What about kids whose parents never attend parent/teacher conferences, and never discipline their kids? Or parents who let their kids do wherever they want?
