I was proud to vote for the Senate budget resolution today, which gets us closer to true Fair Pay for home care workers. It raises their pay to $5 above minimum wage and assures that money goes to the workers, not big insurance companies. #FairPay4HomeCare
The Senate and Assembly just released their state budget proposals, their response to Gov. Hochul's budget plan. Here's a rundown on what they contained re: priorities for independent living centers. The final agreement will be hashed out over the next 2 weeks.
NYAIL budget thread IL Funding: both houses did not include $2m increase in their one house budgets. They both included 8.5% COLA for human services which doesn't include IL because we are in the State Education budget.
